About us

“We are gathered in the name of Culture, and each of us,
of course, is keenly aware of the need to truly rally around
this guiding notion of evolution.”

Nicholas Roerich, “Spiritual Treasures”

As a result of the long-term co-operation of cultural organisations in the promotion of the artistic and philosophical heritage of the Roerich family, including co-operation with the International Centre of the Roerichs, representatives of the European cultural community initiated the establishment of the “European Association for the Support of the International Centre of the Roerichs and its public Museum named after N.K. Roerich”.

“The European Association for the Support of the ICR and its Public Museum named after N.K. Roerich.” (EURASSIM) Abbreviated name: “European Association for ICR Museum Support”

The legacy of the Roerich family is of immense importance both for Russia and for the entire world community. Promoting this heritage, informing the international community about the importance of culture in its evolutionary sense and the need to protect the cultural heritage of mankind is an important task for the preservation of the community of nations, the establishment of peace and cooperation between peoples. The motto “Peace through Culture”, by the great Russian artist, thinker and humanist Nicholas Roerich, is more relevant for the world today than ever before. In this sense, the work of the non-governmental International organization “International Centre of the Roerichs” (ICR) and its public Nicholas Roerich Museum is a unique example of civic initiative for the development and preservation of culture. Under the evident threat to the existence of the International Centre of the Roerichs and its public Nicholas Roerich Museum, it is necessary to consolidate powers of the public, cultural activists to actively support the activity of the ICR and its public Nicholas Roerich Museum, including assisting in executing the will of Svyatoslav Roerich, the great artist and public figure.
